Beth, it’s simply magnificent! What a superb, painterly eye you have.
I’m particularly drawn to the images with the ‘subject’ in sharp focus against a ‘blurred canvas’ (such as Purple Fanfare, Showy Everlasting / Showy Everlasting, Featherflower / Tall Kangaroo Paw, Variable Gompholobium, etc, etc) – very impressionistic compositions!
Drummond’s Billardiera, Flower Spider (p78) is glorious – but there’s so much to delight the eye throughout. The detail in the extreme close-ups is both beautiful and intriguing – the wonder of nature in its minutiae.
WILD ABOUT THE NATIVES deserves a wide ‘audience’ and I’ll certainly be spreading the word.
Thank you so much for it – and your very kind acknowledgment.
